Chowmahalla Palace

The construction of Chowmahalla Palace was initiated by Salabat Jung in 1750. However, it was completed during the period of Afzal ad-Dawlah, Asaf Jah V, between 1857 and 1869. This historical palace stands out for its unique style and elegance. Its construction began in the late 18th century, and over the years, it evolved into a beautiful amalgamation of various architectural styles and influences.

Comprising of two courtyards, the palace boasts the majestic Khilwat, also known as the Darbar Hall, along with exquisite fountains and gardens. Originally sprawling across an impressive 45 acres (180,000 m2), the palace has experienced changes over time, and today, only 12 acres (49,000 m2) of its glorious past remain intact.
