CM Revanth Reddy Returns to Hyderabad After London Visit

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy returned to Hyderabad on Monday after concluding his three-day visit to the United Kingdom, where he held discussions with leading educational institutions and explored opportunities for collaboration with Telangana.

During his UK visit, the Chief Minister held talks with reputed institutions, including the University of Cambridge and Oxford University. The University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, and several other institutions expressed interest in exploring collaborative opportunities with Telangana in areas including education, research, innovation and skill development.

Revanth Reddy had left for the UK on August 20, with plans to continue his tour to the United States after completing his engagements in Britain. However, the Centre did not grant permission for the proposed US visit. Following this development, the Chief Minister curtailed his overseas tour and returned to Hyderabad from London.

In a post on X on Sunday, Revanth Reddy indicated that he would address pending issues after returning to Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister now faces several important political and administrative issues in the state. One of the latest controversies involves remarks made by the daughter of Telangana Forest Minister Konda Surekha against Revanth Reddy and other Congress leaders.

The state Congress disciplinary committee has issued a notice to Konda Surekha seeking her explanation over the matter. However, the minister has maintained that the remarks made by her daughter represent her personal views and should not be linked to her.

With his return to Hyderabad, the Chief Minister is expected to focus on key government priorities and address the political developments that have emerged during his absence.
