The Telangana government has completed extensive preparations for the Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Jatara 2026, one of the world’s largest tribal religious gatherings. The biennial mega event will be held from 28 to 31 January 2026 at Medaram in Mulugu district.
Permanent infrastructure has been developed around the sacred gaddes, replacing temporary arrangements, to enhance the experience of devotees. Roads have been widened, massive parking facilities created, and scientific queue systems introduced to manage the expected huge turnout.
Thousands of special buses have been arranged by TSRTC, while medical camps, emergency hospitals, and ambulance services have been deployed round-the-clock. Security arrangements have been strengthened with police, fire services, SDRF teams, and surveillance measures.
Rooted in tribal faith and tradition, the Medaram Jatara celebrates Goddess Sammakka and Saralamma, drawing devotees from across the country. The state administration is fully geared to ensure a safe, smooth, and spiritually enriching experience for all pilgrims.
