Vera Vita Living Launches Amaya in Hyderabad, Plans ₹600 Crore Expansion

Hyderabad, October 2026 – Addressing the rapidly growing demand for high-quality, independent living solutions for older adults, Vera Vita Living LLP has officially announced its entry into India’s premium senior living sector. The company unveiled its flagship residential community, Amaya, in Hyderabad, alongside an ambitious plan to invest approximately ₹600 crore over the next five years to develop hospitality-led senior living communities across key Indian cities.

Project Spotlight: Amaya, Hyderabad

Strategically located in the growth corridor of the Outer Ring Road near the serene Kandlakoya reserve forest, Amaya is designed as an active, independent senior living community.

Key Project Specifications:

  • Master Plan: Spread across a sprawling 13-acre site.
  • Phase 1 Development: Covers approximately 3 acres and will feature 256 thoughtfully designed residences.
  • Configurations: Options ranging from 1, 2, 2.5, 3, to 3.5 BHK apartments, sized between 950 sq. ft. and 2,400 sq. ft.
  • World-Class Amenities: A premium clubhouse, multiple curated dining experiences, wellness and fitness spaces, landscaped gardens, and walking trails.
  • Comprehensive Care: Professionally managed services including preventive healthcare, physiotherapy, 24/7 emergency response, housekeeping, maintenance, and concierge support.

Why Hyderabad? A Strategic First Choice

Vera Vita Living selected Hyderabad as the launchpad for its maiden project due to a unique convergence of factors that make it ideal for premium senior living:

  1. Robust Healthcare Infrastructure: Proximity to world-class medical facilities provides peace of mind.
  2. Favorable Climate & Lower Congestion: Offers a higher quality of life compared to more densely packed metropolitan cities.
  3. Demographic Advantage: A large population of technology professionals, entrepreneurs, and globally connected households, including a significant NRI demographic seeking dependable, high-quality support and companionship for their senior family members in India.

Leadership Perspectives

The founders of Vera Vita Living emphasize that modern senior living is about empowerment, not just care.

Arudradev Rao, Co-founder, highlighted the philosophy behind the brand:

“At Amaya, premium living is not only about the residence or the amenities. It is about giving people independence, dignity, choice, companionship, and peace of mind. Services and support should work quietly in the background, so residents remain free to shape their days on their own terms.”

Dhruv Badruka, Co-founder, noted the shifting demographics:

“Senior living in India is changing. Today’s seniors are financially independent, well-travelled, socially active, and attentive to health and wellness. They want thoughtfully designed communities where they can continue to live independently, pursue their interests, and enjoy a fulfilling life.”

Tanay Saboo, Co-founder, reinforced the strategic vision:

“Hyderabad brings together the conditions needed for premium senior living: strong healthcare, a thriving technology ecosystem, international connectivity, expanding infrastructure, and globally exposed families. We believe the city can become a leading destination for hospitality-led senior living. Amaya will be the foundation for a thoughtful, scalable presence across other high-potential markets.”

Strategic Impact on the Indian Senior Living Market

India is undergoing a significant demographic transition. With increasing life expectancy, greater financial independence among retirees, and evolving family structures (such as nuclear families and children living abroad), the traditional model of elder care is being redefined.

Vera Vita Living’s ₹600 crore expansion plan signals a major shift in the real estate and hospitality sectors:

  • Rise of “Hospitality-Led” Senior Living: Moving away from clinical “old age homes” to vibrant, resort-style communities focused on wellness, recreation, and social connection.
  • Geographic Expansion: Beyond Hyderabad, the company is actively evaluating high-potential markets including Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coonoor, and Pune.
  • Real Estate Innovation: Developing lower-density, green residential communities on larger land parcels that cater specifically to the accessibility, safety, and lifestyle needs of older adults.

Looking Ahead

The launch of Amaya marks a watershed moment for senior living in India. By combining residential comfort, thoughtful hospitality, proactive wellness, and community-by-choice, Vera Vita Living is setting a new benchmark for how older adults can experience their golden years.

As the ₹600 crore rollout progresses, it will be exciting to see how this model transforms the landscape of senior care, offering dignity, independence, and vibrant living to India’s growing senior population.

Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy TIMS Hospital Opens in Hyderabad, Bringing Advanced Super-Specialty Healthcare to the Public

Hyderabad: Telangana has taken a major step forward in strengthening its public healthcare infrastructure with the inauguration of the Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr MCR TIMS) at Sanathnagar, Hyderabad. The hospital was inaugurated on August 17, 2026, at 4:30 PM by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

The new TIMS hospital is being positioned as a major government healthcare institution focused on providing advanced super-specialty medical treatment at affordable costs. The facility has been developed with modern infrastructure, advanced diagnostic equipment and specialised departments aimed at treating complex and critical medical conditions.

A Major Public Healthcare Facility

Spread across approximately 22.6 acres, the hospital has a built-up area of around 11.70 lakh square feet. It has a total capacity of 1,082 beds, including 300 dedicated ICU beds, making it one of the significant additions to Telangana’s public healthcare infrastructure.

The hospital has been designed as an integrated medical campus, with facilities for diagnosis, surgery, critical care, specialised treatment and rehabilitation. It includes 31 major operation theatres and six minor operation theatres, enabling doctors to handle a wide range of routine, emergency and complex surgical procedures.

The estimated cost of the project is around ₹1,070 crore to ₹1,126 crore. The facility was developed by Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model.

Six Centres of Excellence

One of the key highlights of Dr MCR TIMS is its focus on specialised healthcare through six Centres of Excellence. These centres are aimed at strengthening treatment and research in some of the most critical areas of medicine.

The Centres of Excellence focus on:

  • Organ Transplantation
  • Cardiac Sciences
  • Oncology
  • Neurosciences
  • Nephrology
  • Trauma Care

These specialised centres are expected to provide patients with access to advanced procedures and multidisciplinary medical teams under one roof.

The hospital’s focus on cardiac care, renal treatment, transplantation, cancer care, neurological disorders and trauma management is particularly significant because these conditions often require highly specialised doctors, advanced equipment and intensive-care facilities.

Advanced AI-Enabled Pneumatic Tube System

A major technological feature of the new hospital is its AI-enabled pneumatic tube system.

The system has been designed to rapidly transport blood samples, medicines, medical reports and emergency supplies between different sections of the hospital. It connects wards with laboratories, the pharmacy, blood bank and other critical service areas.

According to health officials, the system can transport materials within approximately one to two minutes. Such rapid movement can help reduce waiting times for laboratory investigations and emergency medicines while also reducing the possibility of contamination during manual transportation.

For a large hospital with more than a thousand beds, quick movement of samples and medicines can play an important role in improving coordination between different departments and supporting faster clinical decision-making.

Extensive Diagnostic Infrastructure

Dr MCR TIMS has been equipped with a wide range of modern diagnostic facilities. The hospital has 30 clinical departments supported by an extensive laboratory network.

Its laboratory infrastructure includes:

  • 17 pathology laboratories
  • 12 microbiology laboratories
  • 10 biochemistry laboratories
  • 5 specialised laboratories

The hospital’s advanced diagnostic equipment includes a 3.0 Tesla MRI scanner, a 128-slice CT scanner, an advanced mammography unit and five X-ray machines.

The availability of these facilities within a government hospital is expected to improve access to advanced diagnostic services, particularly for patients who may otherwise have to depend on private diagnostic centres.

Cardiac and Cancer Care

The hospital also includes two catheterisation laboratories, strengthening its ability to provide specialised cardiac services.

The facility is designed to handle patients requiring advanced cardiac diagnosis and treatment, along with emergency and critical-care support.

For cancer patients, the hospital has a linear accelerator-based radiotherapy facility. The availability of advanced radiotherapy infrastructure within a government medical institution is expected to improve access to cancer treatment for patients who face financial difficulties.

Focus on Affordable Super-Specialty Treatment

A central objective behind the development of TIMS hospitals is to expand access to specialised healthcare through the public healthcare system.

Complex medical conditions such as heart disease, cancer, kidney disorders, neurological conditions, organ failure and serious trauma often involve significant treatment costs. By strengthening government hospitals with modern equipment and specialised medical departments, the state aims to provide patients with high-end medical services without placing the same financial burden associated with private healthcare.

The Sanathnagar TIMS facility is therefore expected to become an important referral centre for patients requiring advanced treatment from Hyderabad as well as other parts of Telangana.

Strengthening Telangana’s Healthcare Network

The inauguration of Dr MCR TIMS represents an important development in Telangana’s healthcare sector. With more than 1,000 beds, 300 ICU beds, multiple operation theatres, specialised laboratories and Centres of Excellence, the facility has been designed to manage both routine and highly complex medical cases.

The hospital’s combination of advanced technology, specialised departments and critical-care infrastructure is expected to strengthen the state’s capacity to provide tertiary and super-specialty healthcare through the government system.

The facility is also expected to support better coordination between doctors, diagnostic departments, laboratories, pharmacies and emergency services through its integrated infrastructure.

A New Chapter for Public Healthcare

The opening of Dr MCR TIMS at Sanathnagar marks the beginning of a new phase in Telangana’s effort to expand advanced public healthcare. The hospital brings together modern medical technology, specialised treatment centres, critical-care facilities and a large bed capacity within a single government healthcare campus.

With its emphasis on cardiac sciences, oncology, transplantation, nephrology, neurosciences and trauma care, the hospital is expected to play a major role in treating patients with serious and complex health conditions.

As the first TIMS hospital to become operational, Dr MCR TIMS is likely to serve as an important model for the expansion of specialised government healthcare facilities across Telangana. Its success will depend not only on the infrastructure and technology but also on the availability of experienced medical professionals, efficient hospital administration and timely access to treatment.

The inauguration of the Sanathnagar facility therefore represents more than the opening of another hospital. It marks a significant investment in Telangana’s public healthcare infrastructure and an effort to make advanced super-specialty medical care more accessible and affordable to the people.

Official: TIMS Sanathnagar Renamed After Marri Chenna Reddy – New Name Revealed

In a move that beautifully bridges the state’s rich political history with its modern healthcare ambitions, the Telangana government has officially renamed the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) in Sanathnagar, Hyderabad. The premier medical institution will now be known in honor of the late Marri Chenna Reddy, a revered former Chief Minister and a towering figure in the region’s political landscape.

A Tribute to a Champion of the People

Marri Chenna Reddy served as the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh and was widely respected for his grassroots connect, administrative acumen, and unwavering dedication to public welfare. His tenure was marked by a strong focus on agricultural development, social justice, and laying the foundational infrastructure that would benefit generations to come.

By attaching his name to a major medical and educational institution, the government is ensuring that his legacy of public service continues to inspire future leaders, doctors, and healthcare professionals in the state.

A New Chapter for TIMS Sanathnagar

Located in the heart of Hyderabad, the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) has rapidly emerged as a crucial hub for medical education, research, and patient care. The institute is designed to provide world-class healthcare facilities while training the next generation of medical talent to tackle the region’s health challenges.

Bestowing the name of Marri Chenna Reddy upon this institute elevates its stature, infusing the campus with a sense of historical pride and responsibility. It serves as a daily reminder to students and staff alike of the high standards of integrity and service that the former leader embodied.

Blending Heritage with Modern Healthcare Vision

This renaming is part of a broader, thoughtful initiative by the Telangana government to commemorate the architects of the state’s development while simultaneously upgrading its civic infrastructure.

Rather than just building new facilities, the administration is actively weaving the state’s historical narrative into its modern institutions. This approach not only preserves the memory of pivotal leaders but also fosters a deeper sense of identity and pride among the citizens of Telangana.

Looking Ahead

As the Marri Chenna Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences in Sanathnagar moves forward, it carries with it the weight of a remarkable legacy and the promise of a healthier future. With state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated faculty, and a name that commands respect, the institute is perfectly positioned to become a beacon of medical excellence in South India.

The renaming is more than just a change of signboards; it is a commitment to carrying forward the vision of a leader who always put the people first.
