Cancer Screening Camp Held in Hyderabad to Promote Early Detection and Preventive Healthcare – October 6, 2026

A Cancer Screening Camp was successfully organized on 6 October 2026 at Central Excise Colony, Bagh Amberpet, Hyderabad, with the aim of creating awareness about cancer prevention, early detection and regular health screening.

The camp was jointly organized by Sonali Foundation and Udaan Women Activity Centre in association with Karkinos Healthcare. The programme focused on making cancer screening and preventive healthcare services accessible to the community.

The camp was conducted from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM and was open to women, men and senior citizens. Participants were provided with screening services, health guidance and awareness about the importance of identifying cancer at an early stage.

Screening and Health Services

The camp included awareness and screening related to:

• Breast Cancer Screening
• Cervical Cancer Screening
• Lung Cancer Awareness and Screening
• Colorectal Cancer Awareness
• Lifestyle and Cancer Risk Assessment
• Doctor Consultation and Health Guidance
• Preventive health advice and awareness programmes

Special emphasis was placed on women’s health, including breast and cervical cancer screening. Participants were also educated about risk factors, preventive measures and the importance of regular medical check-ups.

Focus on Early Detection

Organizers highlighted that early detection can significantly improve cancer treatment outcomes. The camp encouraged people not to ignore warning signs and to undergo appropriate screening and medical consultation regularly.

The initiative brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers and community representatives to spread awareness about cancer prevention and encourage healthier lifestyles.

Representatives associated with Sonali Foundation, Udaan and Karkinos Healthcare participated in the programme and supported the screening activities.
