US Insurance Giant Nationwide Opens First India GCC in Hyderabad

Hyderabad has added another global milestone to its growing technology ecosystem as US-based insurance and financial services company Nationwide officially launched its first India Global Capability Centre (GCC) in the city. This also marks the company’s first international campus, reinforcing Hyderabad’s position as a preferred destination for global innovation and business operations.

The newly established Nationwide Global Services Center Private Limited will operate on a 24×7 global delivery model, supporting the company’s engineering, digital, technology, and business functions. The center is expected to enhance operational agility, accelerate innovation, and strengthen decision-making across Nationwide’s global network.

To lead the India operations, Nationwide has appointed Vikas Jaswal as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Nationwide India. He will be responsible for driving the Hyderabad centre’s growth, talent acquisition, and capability development while working closely with the company’s global leadership.

Welcoming the investment, Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad has become one of the world’s leading innovation hubs for Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), and Capital Markets. He noted that nine of the world’s top ten BFSI companies already have a strong presence in Hyderabad, and Nationwide’s entry further strengthens the city’s reputation as a global technology and innovation destination.

The launch is another major boost for Telangana’s thriving GCC ecosystem, highlighting Hyderabad’s ability to attract world-class multinational companies through its skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and business-friendly environment.
