Two Hyderabad Students Secure All-India Top 5 Ranks in JEE Advanced 2025
Hyderabad, June 2: Hyderabad students have once again brought laurels to the city by securing positions among the top five ranks in the highly competitive JEE Advanced 2025 examination, the results of which were announced by IIT Roorkee on Monday.
Mohit Shekhar Shukla emerged as the Telangana topper by securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 4. He also topped the IIT Madras zone, which includes Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry.
Another Hyderabad student, Kuchi Sandeep, achieved an outstanding AIR 5, placing him among the country’s top performers in the prestigious engineering entrance examination.
Speaking after the results were declared, Mohit Shekhar expressed happiness over achieving his long-cherished goal of securing a single-digit rank.
“I always wanted to secure a single-digit rank. I expected a good result, and I am happy that my hard work has paid off,” he said.
Mohit revealed that he studied for approximately nine hours a day and had aspired to join an IIT since childhood. He now plans to pursue Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay, following in the footsteps of his elder brother, who is already studying at the institute.
The remarkable achievements of Mohit and Sandeep have brought pride to Hyderabad and Telangana, highlighting the city’s continued excellence in producing top-ranking engineering aspirants.
The JEE Advanced examination is considered one of India’s toughest entrance tests and serves as the gateway for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
